It's often quite difficult to speculate whether a record making number 40 was considered a flop for not getting any higher or a success due to the fact it made the Top 40 at all. With this record there's little doubt that it was the latter.
Nukleuz is one of the big record labels for hard house music that was founded by Peter Pritchard, the person who formed Clock with Stu Allan.
These releases were megamixes and were released on vinyl only. This was a time when it was only really DJs buying vinyl so it did well to make the Top 40 given this limitation. A follow up record did even better the following year making number 33.
As far as the Top 40 went though hard house was pretty much finished as a genre following this.
