There are many music genres out there which have little to no representation in the Top 40. One such genre is Christian Rock which is always going to be divisive regardless of what the music actually sounds like.
One band that defied those odds was Delirious? who managed a total of 7 Top 40 hits. This was hit number 6 which came 4 years after their Top 40 debut in 1997.
They received little to no radio play so any record they managed to reach the Top 40 with would have been considered a success. The one remaining Top 40 hit they had after this came in 2010 with a song from 1997 called "History Maker" which became their biggest Top 40 hit following an internet campaign to get it into the charts.
