When Darude first charted in the year 2000 they became the first music act from Finland to have a Top 40 hit in the UK. This then opened the door to other artists from Finland to score UK hits which included Slusnik Luna.
Like Darude, this is a trance record. In fact all of the Top 40 hits from Finnish acts at this point had been dance records. However they would be the last act from Finland to have a dance record in the UK Top 40, it would mostly be rock bands after this.
We are finding that a lot of trance records were stalling at number 40 around this time period so I guess this record was simply following that trend.
