Country music has always been one of those genres that appears to be loved in America but hated in the UK. In the late 90s we had some country pop singers such as Faith Hill and Shania Twain starting to chart in the UK.
Lee Ann Womack was another country pop singer and this was her only UK Top 40 hit. It was taken from the album of the same name. I have no recollection of this doing the rounds on the music channels like Faith Hill was at the time, so perhaps it went against the odds to actually make the Top 40.
A more successful version of this record came in 2004 when it was covered by Ronan Keating and made number 2.
