The Christmas Charts - 1968

By 1968 the era of Beatles Christmas number ones was over. Much like their failure to score the Christmas number one of 1966, the reason they didn't make Christmas one in 1968 is because they didn't release a single, their most recent one was "Hey Jude" which made number one in September and had only just left the Top 40 by Christmas.

It was still a good Christmas for the McCartney household though as Paul McCartney's brother Mike McGear (real name Peter McCartney) scored the Christmas number one as part of the comedy group The Scaffold with "Lily the Pink".

In terms of actual Christmas singles in 1968, there wasn't any.
