In the post-Britpop era of the late 90s there were a number of indie bands who started making their Top 40 debuts and then quickly disappearing. Puressence appeared to be one of those bands with 2 minor Top 40 hits in 1998 with "This Feeling" which made 33 and "All I Want" which reached 39.
The difference between Puressence and those other bands though was that Puressence reappeared in the Top 40 in the 21st century with one final Top 40 hit.
They formed in the early 90s and were all fans of the Stone Roses. The video to this record has Mani from the Stone Roses in it as well as Bez from the Happy Mondays. They called it a day in 2013.
