UK Number 40s: D'bora - Going Round (1995)

The artist on this number 40 began her music career as Baby D. Not Baby D of "Let Me Be Your Fantasy" fame, she was Baby D as part of the female rap group Mercedes Ladies in the 80s.

In the 90s she became a singer in the house scene with a number of non charting singles at the beginning of the decade as well as the album "ESP".

Also at the beginning of the 90s there was a house act called UBQ Project who had their first releases. Then in 1993 UBQ Project Aaron Smith went solo with his first release being "U Got Me Going Around" which featured D'bora on vocals.

This record was basically a radio edit of "U Got Me Going Around" and this time was credited to D'bora. Follow up record "Good Love, Real Love" failed to making the Top 40 and she released two further singles that didn't chart before retiring from music.

Aaron Smith would return to the Top 40 at the start of 2006 with "Dancin" which made number 20, but has seemingly released nothing since.
