UK Number 40s: Electric Six - Dance Commander (2003)

At the start of 2003 Electric Six made their Top 40 debut with "Danger High Voltage" which made number 2. This was successfully followed up in the summer with "Gay Bar". Both records were both perceived as a bit what the fuck by the general public.

By the time this record came out though it would seem the record buying public had lost interest. They had a big change in personnel too with lead singer Dick Valentine eventually becoming the only constant member of the group.

They weren't quite finished yet from a Top 40 perspective though. They would return around a year later with a cover of Queens "Radio Gaga" which would be their final Top 40 hit to date.
