UK Number 40s: Laguna - Spiller From Rio (Do It Easy) (1997)

When it comes to dance music in the Top 40, or generally speaking for that matter, it looks like lots of different people have reasonably big records out only to never be heard of again. The reality is that a number of big names in dance music have a number of aliases for different projects.

This record is an example of this but retrospectively it's easier to tell who it is from the clue in the title. If you haven't guessed yet, Laguna was an alias of Spiller who had the chart topping "Groovejet (If This Ain't Love)" in the year 2000.

He wasn't from Rio though, he was from Italy. You may think there's a bit of Brazilian flavour in this record, but there isn't it's a house record that could be from any country really.

Technically I can't say this is a record by someone who had both a number 1 and a number 40. However he did also have a number 40 under the name Spiller. More on that when the time comes.
