Sparkle was a protégé of R Kelly who is best known for "Be Careful" which was a duet with R Kelly and reached number 7 earlier on in 1998. This was her follow up and only other Top 40 hit.
This time she's on her own, but it too was written and produced by R Kelly as was her entire self titled debut album. It was the first album to be released on Rockland Records which was a record label owned by R Kelly.
It was then time for her to move on as she left Rockland Records after the album and signed with Motown where she released her 2nd album "Told You So" which didn't see the same level of success. She's not released another album since at the time of writing.
