Grooverider was one of the biggest names in drum & bass in it's early days. He had been part of the rave scene since it first started back in the 80s and was playing at all the big raves in the 90s.
In the mid-90s Radio 1 started a show called "One in the Jungle" which was a Friday night show that played nothing but drum & bass. There would be a different DJ doing a mix each week. In 1998 the show was replaced with Fabio & Grooverider doing a drum & bass show.
This was the only Top 40 hit for Grooverider and it was taken from his only album "Mysteries Of Funk". Whilst drum & bass clearly had a huge following it didn't really translate into chart success. Therefore any drum & bass record making the Top 40 at all would have been massive. It was the penultimate drum & bass Top 40 hit of the 90s.
