Jean-Michel Jarre is known for being one of the pioneers of electronic music back in the 70s. He only had one Top 40 hit that decade though which was also his biggest hit with "Oxygene Part IV" in 1977.
It would be another 20 years until we'd see him in the Top 40 again with the record "Oxygene 8". By this point dance music was reasonably big and his music fitted in quite nicely with it.
This record was his 5th and final Top 40 hit to date. The featured vocalist was Natacha Atlas who became just the second artist from Egypt to have a Top 40 hit after Bob Azzam in 1960.
It's a trance record with a bit of African music mixed in. It came shortly after Jean-Michel Jarre had performed on Millennium eve in Egypt to 100,000 people.
