This record meant that James Brown had Top 40 hits in the 60s, 70s, 80s and 90s. It was his 11th Top 40 hit and final one to date.
Despite James Brown having a number of well known records he only made the Top 10 once which was in 1986 with "Living In America". His debut "Papa's Got A Brand New Bag" only made number 25 and follow up "I Got You" only made number 29.
This was his first record in 11 years and was helped into the Top 40 with the Bump & Flex mix which was a UK garage version. However this was a quiet period in the Top 40 for garage music and wouldn't really take off properly until the end of the year.
