A number of people would no doubt think that Mica Paris had a solitary hit with "My One Temptation" in 1988 and has made a career out of being a celebrity since.
In fact she had 9 Top 40 hits over a 10 year period with this being her 9th and final Top 40 hit. None of those Top 40 hits reached the same heights as her big hit though, getting no higher than 15 with her other hits.
This was a cover of a record by Sly & the Family Stone. It followed a cover of "One" by U2. The fact that her Top 40 career lasted for a decade despite being known for one song would imply the fact this reached the Top 40 would be considered a success.
With this record we saw the first siblings separately having number 40 hits with her sister Alysha Warren making number 40 in 1995 with "I Thought I Meant The World To You".
